Hello, I’m Mandy Millar and I founded Millar Tender Solutions in 2023 following over two decades working in public procurement across various sectors and categories.

I’ve held key operational and strategic procurement roles across Local Authorities, Housing, Forestry, Emergency Services and Government and have procured everything from boats and cars; to cleaning services and insurance and much more in between.

In my time in public sector procurement, I could see there were challenges and frustrations for bidders when navigating public procurement. I knew having a buyer’s insight would be valuable for bidders and that my expertise and experience could really help make the bidding process less stressful and this is what prompted me to set up Millar Tender Solutions.

What I didn’t realise initially was that understanding the ‘bid’ side would also help me to become a better buyer and in turn, would allow me to help other public procurement professionals improve their processes and the way they engage with bidders.

My moto: if you want to know how to bid better ask the buyer and if you want to know how to buy better ask the bidder.
