How we’ll work together to get you ready to win public contracts!

    STEP 1: DIAGNOSTIC

“We know we want to win more public sector work, but we're not sure what's holding us back or where to focus.”

    1 to 2 weeks

Before you start chasing more tenders, you need to know where you're best placed to compete - and whether you're ready.

    We look at three things:

    1. Where you are now
We’ll start by looking at what you've got in place, how you currently approach opportunities, including a review of previous bids and feedback received, if this applies.

    2. Where you want to get to
Next we’ll look at the types of contracts you want to win and why - the buyers and markets worth pursuing, and the opportunities that genuinely fit your organisation. We’ll look at what you're currently positioned to bid for, where you have the best chance of competing, and where your time and investment are likely to pay off.

    3. What you need to do to get there
Finally we’ll assess your bid readiness: your proposition, evidence, policies, accreditations, processes, resources and approach to tendering - and identify the gaps between where you are and what needs to happen next.

    What you'll leave with:

    • Clarity on the opportunities and pipeline worth targeting

    • A gap analysis covering your bid capability, processes, practices and the opportunities you want to pursue

    • A clear bid/no-bid approach, so you're investing your time in the right opportunities

    • Prioritised actions to get you bid-ready

From here, you can take the action plan forward yourself, or move into Step 2, where we build the foundations together (*note, the cost of Step 2 is reduced by £500 if you complete Step 1 first).

    STEP 2: THE FOUNDATIONS

“We know what needs to change - now we’re ready to put the right foundations in place”

    4 to 6 weeks

We build the foundations that make your future bids more strategic, more consistent and easier to develop.

    Together, we build three things:

    1. Your bid strategy
A clear understanding of how you want to position your organisation, what you want buyers to see, and the strengths and differentiators you need to consistently demonstrate.

    2. Your core bid foundations
We capture and shape the substance - your capabilities, approach, people, processes and the themes that matter most to buyers. This isn't about creating copy-and-paste answers. It's about creating a strong starting point that can be tailored intelligently to each opportunity.

    3. Your evidence and proof
We identify, capture and structure the evidence that demonstrates you can deliver what you promise - including case studies, outcomes, examples, accreditations, policies and supporting information. Alongside this, we establish a clear bid process.

    What you'll leave with:

    • A practical process for future public sector bids

    • The foundations to develop compliant, compelling and high scoring tailored bids

    • A strong bank of core content, compliance documentation, evidence and proof points to draw from

    • A better understanding of what good looks like

From here, you can take the foundations and move forward yourself, or move into Step 3, where we put them into practice with expert support alongside you.

  • STEP 3 - FRACTIONAL BID PARTNER

"We’re ready to build on our foundations and bid with confidence, with expert support when we need it"

    Ongoing, monthly

The foundations are in place. Now it’s about putting them into practice and having the right support on live bids.

There are three ways we can support as your fractional bid partner:

    1. Advisory (monthly retainer)
Strategic support to help you make better bidding decisions and keep moving forward. We assess opportunities, make bid/no-bid decisions, review and challenge, and help you execute priority actions.

    2. Advisory + Retained Delivery (monthly retainer)
Everything in Advisory, plus ongoing hands-on bid writing and management. We work alongside you from opportunity through to submission, bringing strategy, evaluator perspective and delivery together as an extension of your team. This is for you if you will be bidding regularly.

    3. Advisory + Ad Hoc Delivery (monthly retainer + per bid costs)
Everything in Advisory, with flexibility to bring us in for additional bid writing and management on specific opportunities. You get the same strategic partnership, with ah hoc delivery at our fractional partner rate where needed.

    What you'll leave with:

    • An experienced bid partner who understands your business

    • Support with activities such as DPS applications and market engagement

    • Ongoing refinement of your bid approach, foundations and evidence, including lessons learned

    • Opportunity monitoring and bid/no-bid assessment

If you choose to add Retained Delivery, you have a dedicated bid resource with guaranteed availability, category exclusivity and hands-on support from opportunity through to submission.
